Hi, I’m LEE

Those experiences reshaped my definition of success.

Corporate leadership, entrepreneurship and adversity taught me that sustainable performance comes from clarity, ownership and trust, not control or ego. It comes from leaders who can think, decide and develop people when conditions are uncertain.

Today, I bring that perspective into a new leadership chapter in recruitment, alongside coaching and advisory work focused on leadership, decision-making and performance. My work is grounded in experience, shaped by responsibility and results, and guided by a practical, people-first approach to leadership.

My journey proves that transformation is built, not gifted.

I arrived in Switzerland in 2002 without higher education, without language fluency, and without a safety net. I entered recruitment at the ground level and worked my way through every layer of the industry, learning what performance really requires when the pressure is real.

Over time, I progressed into senior leadership roles within global recruitment organisations and later founded and scaled my own recruitment business in a market that barely existed. I led through growth, downturns, Covid, and some of the toughest years the industry has faced.

I LOVE  to  MAKE AN IMPACT

MY JOURNEY TIMELINE

 1979

I'm originally from Chigwell, Essex and spent the first 23 years of my life in Essex and London.

2000

In 2000, I started my first company as a skateboard distributor called Urbanboards. I also started to compete on a professional level in Slalom, BoarderX and Downhill Skateboarding.

2008

In 2018, after 11 years in recruitment and leadership roles, I started my own business, “We Recruit”, to follow my dreams and live the life I wanted.

In 2008, I started my first job in recruitment and later held different senior leadership roles in recruitment, managing several offices and up to 40 people across Switzerland.

The man on the left is wearing a blue hoodie with graphic patterns, and the man on the right is wearing a black t-shirt with a white symbol. Both men are gesturing with their hands as they talk.

In 2020, I launched a LinkedIn-Live broadcast “Ask A Recruiter” and my YouTube videos “Swiss Recruitment Journeys.”

2022

2026

In 2026, I closed “We Recruit AG”. The journey had fulfilled its purpose.

In 2022, I co-launched the “Swiss Recruitment Start-Ups”, an exclusive members-only community for leaders in recruitment.

The woman is smiling and wearing a white sweater, while the man is gesturing with his hands and has a white shirt. There is a camera in the foreground and framed artwork on the wall behind them, along with potted plants.

In 2024, I launched my podcast "The Voice Of Recruitment”, in which I interview experts and influencers in the recruitment space.

2025

In 2025, I launched MANifest, a community for men, where they can genuinely connect, have each other's back and do cool shit together! I also became an accredited coach and launched my coaching brand “We Coach”.

In 2026, I took on a new role as Director Digital Talent Solutions Switzerland and part of the Swiss management team at Randstad Switzerland.

Fun facts about  me

A man with a beard and a shaved head sitting at a desk in front of a microphone, wearing a white shirt.
  • I moved to Switzerland 23 years ago without speaking any German. I built my way from recruiter to influencer and successful entrepreneur, mentoring and coaching hundreds of people along the way in both Swiss German and English. I now have over 17'000 followers on LinkedIn and create relevant and impactful content online.

  • I’m equally comfortable snowboarding or skateboarding down mountains at speed as I am taking relaxing walks and spending time with the family. I spent many years competing in professional Slalom, Downhill and Boarder-X skateboarding and even had the chance to represent Great Britain at the World Championships.

  • I love listening to music; it’s been a huge part of my life, and I was even a DJ for a short period of time. A lot of memories from my past can be tied to an album, and I’ve always had a massive sound system in all of my cars.

  • Whether I’m coaching my kids through new ideas, grinding for a better swing on the golf course, or logging hours in-game, I bring the same mindset: learn fast, adapt, level up.
